Ride Finder

VISUAL DESIGN | INTERACTION DESIGN

A native app to find local rides and buy curated women's mountain bike gear. Coming up with visual ideas for the community of riders I am a part of keeps me motivated as a designer. This site is to empower women to see and experience the community of riders they have all around them. And, to remind them to never settle for the shrink-it-and-pink-it outlook of women’s mtb apparel.

HOME VIEW

Users can find and post local rides, as well as view interactive maps for each trail. The goal was to create an app with a minimal interface to focus on the content.

RIDE VIEW

All the details for a given ride are surfaced with a short description and photos. A trail map is linked, as well as topographic information and the ride host's details.

DETAIL VIEW

Meeting location, ride distance, elevation, and duration all appear here. The ability to join a ride is the main call to action for the user.

ANIMATIONS

Subtle feedback, such as a button lifting towards the user's cursor, help to reinforce the interactive elements of the page. Directing user interaction and guiding them to the main calls-to-action help them navigate your content.
